Google Chrome - A Vital Member In The 21st Century Browser War!

Hi Frenz.. I m back after a year long of Hibernation! This time its gonna be about the new Google Web Browser "CHROME" which is making news!! Lets get into stuff right away!!!

The Browser War of the 21st Century is not a new one for any Computer enthusiasts. It got its peak during the Antitrust law suit against Microsoft during 2001. After that a lot of browsers started coming into market - Apple's Safari, Mozilla's Firefox to name a few. But it was a paradox that the leader in Web services "Google" didnt make any news regarding its browser. Now "Google" has made its impact in Browser market with its all new "CHROME".

Google Chrome is the new free open source browser launched by the Web Juggernaut GOOGLE on 2nd september 2008. The Windows Version of Chrome has been launched in 43 languages and the UNIX n LINUX versions are under development.
Now to the prime factors that decide the success of a Browser:
Security:
Security is taken care of automatic download of two blacklists - one for phishing and another for malware. Chrome uses the same tabbing as in IE8 and firefox. Chrome uses Sandboxing technique for each n every tab. That is, the processes running in one tab doesnt affect the other tabs and they end as the tab gets closed.
Speed:
When the discussion of browsers comes the most important feature to an end user is Speed!! Chrome works on V8 JavaScript Engine which has features like dynamic code generation, precise garbage collection, hidden class transition. Tests show that chrome is nearly twice as fast as Firefox 3.0 and Safari.
Initial Hiccups of "CHROME":
Some flaws in Chrome has been found of which some has been fixed and some yet to be taken care.
1. A denial of service flaw has been found. A malicious web page has the capability to crash the whole web browser. This flaw has been fixed.
2. Chrome has been found to be vulnerable to Carpet Bombing Attack. It means the Google Chrome users can be lured into downloading and launching a JAR (Java Archive) file that gets executed without warning. Chrome is actually WebKit 525.13 (Safari 3.1), which is an outdated/vulnerable version of Safari. Apple patched the Carpet bombing issue in its Safari 3.1.2 but Chrome is yet to fix it.
So why r u waiting for? Just go n check out the cool new Google Chrome and experience the "Google way " of Surfing the net.
